Holiday/Baby update...

So folks, only 20 days till my induction date! I am as big as a darn HOUSE, but other than my back breaking, feel pretty good and the kids & photography are keeping me busy busy busy! We just had the basement repainted and re-carpeted and it looks fab! Jeff has been bustin' his cute butt to redo the entire bar too! He layed pergo all by himself, repainted it Redskin colors, installed an awesome dart board (that Becky & Matt so graciously gave him for his bday) and is putting his new Red Sox stadium chairs in! woo hoo! So, we have been living in dissaray for quite sometime, but it is almost done! YAYAYAYAY!!

THe kids are great! Jaimie is bossy as ever and keeping us on our toes and laughing our butts off...Caiden is smart as a cookie and doing well with his school work and his new "Jammers" percussion group! They had a concert the other night and they sounded great! They are both really excited for Christmas and the tree and house are decorated to make it that much more fun! Now I have the daunting task of wrapping a gazillion presents with a 8.5month pregnant belly and bad back! Prayers folks!

Renaissance Man!

Okay, so I am definitely not one to toot my own horn, or those of my kids, but I have to share in our excitement for our little Renaissance Man in the making! Caiden had a GREAT week! Just when we thought football season was over....and let me tell you how grateful I was for not having to deal with the grueling 4 day/week schedule at dinner time...we got a phone call from his coach. HE MADE THE ALL STAR TEAM!! He was sooooooooooooooooooo excited that he didn't know what to do with himself, he had the cutest look on his face, so proud and excited and speechless! Then he proceeded to call everyone and tell them with pride!! Good times!!

THEN...2 days later...he came home from school running to me so excited again. He had tried out for his elementary school music band called the VES Jammers...it is a percussion group they are putting together at the school. 67 kids tried out and they only chose 12 and Caiden made it!!!!!! :)

Jaimie is nuts as usual and defiant as hell, but she sure does keep us laughing and on our toes!

I am as big as a house...8 weeks to go...say a prayer for my back.... :)

Jeff is super coach and still kicking butt at work...we are now embarking on renovating the basement and bar...should look nice when we are done!

So, about 2 months ago I bought a new iMac for my photography business to use just for editing photos and such. I discovered the fun built in camera and Jaimie and I had fun with the silly program with it! Enjoy our silly photos! LOL!!! :)

OMG! It has been 9months!!

I can't believe i have gone 9months without posting...I knew I was going to be a weblog failure!! Anyhoooooo....all is good! Caiden will be NINE next week! OMG! I am the mother of a NINE year old! I have been bearing children for almost 10 years! CRAZINESS! He is loving football and is a smart cookie, which is great! Jaimie is nuts as usual and keeps us on our toes and laughing our butts off! She started at a new daycare on Monday so it has been a little nerve racking this week making sure we made the right choice. So far everyday when I pick her up she runs from me and doesn't want to leave, so that is the best sign I can ask for that she is happy and being taken good care of! 

Jeff is awesome! His job is great, he is everyone's hero at work and it shows in his face! I am very happy for him and his career path! Yay! He is also super coach and is getting calls from a bunch of parents asking him to be their kids coach in basketball this year. He is playing basketball on Thur nights with some guys in the neighborhood and plays with his colleagues at work each week...so sports RULE this house right now! 

Big news with me! First, I am a 6.5 months pregnant! YAY! Baby girl is due on January 16th!  Second,  I opened a Photography Studio in Vienna!! YAY! I found 2 other local photographers that were in the same boat as me...shooting sessions in their basements and dying to get out! So, I found a great spot on Mill St for a great price and we opened last week! YAYAYAY! I am official!! :) Life is chaos with 2 jobs, 2 kids and one on the way...but we are managing!

BIG GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Heeheeheehee!! Jaimie is officially a BIG GIRL! She went poo poo on the BIG girl pottie today! She said, "mommie, poo poo...potteeee" so I put her on...and she sat....and sat....and sat...I tried 3 times to get her to get dressed again b/c NOTHING was happening. Then I went to get my camera cuz she was so cute up there, then when I came back, I looked between her legs...and there was he glorious poo poo!! WOO HOO!! We have a LOOOONG way to go, but poo poo on the potty is a GOOD START!! LOL!!
For you prego girls....this is what you have to look forward too!! LOL!! heeheehee!!

My first Urban Session!!

I was lucky enough to have an opportunity to try an urban style session on a wonderful young man! Thank you for being a FABULOUS model for me today in DC John!! You rock!! Here are a few of the photos from today! Yay! :)

We've Created a Monster!!!!

Loooooooooooooooooooooong time folks...life has been CHAOS! Wonderful chaos, but crazy non the less! Let's see, where do I begin...my photography business has taken off much to my surprise and I have been overwhelmed with clients and a HUGE learning curve! I love it!! :) Now that the holiday is over, it has slowed down again, but I still have clients and continue to get more opportunities everyday. During Nov & Dec I was doing like 3-5 sessions per week! Yay!

Anyhoooooooo...my kids are AWESOME!! Jaimie is a monster! She is into EVERYTHING as toddlers are...but she is soooooooooooooooooooooo funny!! She makes us laugh everyday with her silly OCD antics and crazy mood swings! Just like her mommy (poor girl). She has recently learned to disrobe at will and if we don't have her locked into a onezie, she is DEFINITELY takin' off the clothes and diaper and running free! Here is a photo of her streaking the family room lastnight! She also has learned to climb on everything and open doors (just yesterday), so we are in for an entirely new set of messes/chaos! She's a trip, we love watching her grow!! She is talking more everyday, although most of it is babbling gibberish that she seems to think makes perfect sense, but her mannerisms while babbling make it worth listening, she be funny!

Now Caiden, he has blossomed into a full fledged young man...he no longer has that "little boy-ness" to him...he is a little dude and a very well mannered, polite, funny and loving one at that! He was a good boy this year and santa was good to him. He got his Nintendo DS portable video game (MUCH to Mom's dismay), a robot thing and a bunch of fun nerf toys...oh and Guitar Hero 3...a VERY cool video game where you actually play a toy guitar to 80's rock music and learn! WAY COOL!! He is doing well in school, except a few responsibility issues, but nobody is perfect. Jeff and I are working with him on being more responsible about remembering the little things, but he is a smart cookie so we feel good knowing that he will be fine in school and life with a good head on his shoulders. He finished football and is now in his first year of basketball. Jeff is the head coach and I just LOVE it! Coach Dad...very becoming!! :) His team is called the White Sharks and Uncle Doug was kind enough to make custom shirts for the boys with a cool Great White Shark logo on the front! The boys feel like studs out there with their cool shirts! :)

Jeff is really prospering at his new company (well about a year or so into it), but they are a wonderful company to work for, he is well respected and is learning so much that he never thought he would be able to learn in this position. We are looking forward to a nice long career in this place and it makes him happy which makes me happy! :) :) :)
